Poisoner : A Murder Mystery

Poisoner is a murder mystery novel set in an isolated Southern mansion where three men of the Harlson family have been poisoned to death. A young man named Buddy is called to the mansion and offered a job as food taster.  Four women remain, one of whom loves him but is crazy. He is unemployed and needs the huge pay, but living with the women, likely including the killer, makes him nervous. The cook is murdered with arsenic poison, and a handyman named Necktwister runs away with a garbage bag full of cash.  The daughter who loves Buddy tells the sheriff she is the poisoner, but he thinks it is just to get out of that death house.  The mother and one of her remaining daughters offers him a pile of money to have sex.  The third daughter is found beheaded in a graveyard. Buddy stays awake in his basement room. Every sound might be his last.  The poisoner might want to kill him, a witness.
